Well, some of you may have heard that a public cheat is now available and bypasses ESE.
To summarise, yes this is correct!
The creator of that cheat has specifically wrote that this cheat bypasses ESE 0.9.5.6.
So for those naieve of the underlying facts... YES there is a "working" public Cheat for ESE. However for the clued up people - we know our stuff and Users of that Cheat are banned. So don't believe everything on face value 
Okay.. now for the long explanation!
So let's explain Why , How and WTF!
We know the Cheatcreator of this public Cheat also created private Cheats in the past.
We obviously can not get our hands on the cheats in essence it is hard to stop them, but not impossible! We could buy the cheats - but to be honest - why should ESE team spend 30-50 Euro for a private cheat to help a community which doesen't support ESE that much??. We are volunteers doing this in our free time yet the donations are now few and far between and we are constantly digging into our own pockets to keep the systems running.
Sometimes we really have the feeling that we are "on the wrong side" if you see that people are willing to spend ~50 Euro for private cheats but not some money for ESE...
However as said above, we wouldn't be the ESE if we wouldn't be smart 
So in the last few months we built a EHE System - which works like a Heuristic System.
This heuristic system is completly on a SilentLog mode because of two problems:
- We don't have that many Betatesters to test it fully and safely (with no false positive kicks/bans)
- We want to avoid a Mass-Ban if there are bugs included.
Also there is another problem: time
Lately we are a little bit on downtime mode, with various members taking university exams and have other private reasons to be less active.
Therefore the last ESEClient was released in the beginning of June. In the middle of July, 1 and a half months later, the Cheatcoder released his public Cheat.
ESE detects that Cheat silently.
2 and a half month after the last ESEClient release, the Cheatcoder released an update of the Cheat. ESE detects that Cheat too.
This time period has also allowed us to slowdown the fight Cheatcoder vs Cheatprotectioncoder and play sometimes dumb, roll over and play dead so to speak.. to see what their next move was.
If we would set all detections directly to a kick or ban - the cheatcoder could develop faster new unknown methods because he would know what ESE detects and what ESE doesn't detect. So by trial and error would actually be avail to bypass ESE more quickly, hence why we keep "some" of our special detections on a silent log.
So although on the offset it looks bad for ESE with public cheaters, in the end we are in the winning-seat because we know who they are, what they are doing and can track the cheat coder more smartly in developing our detections further.
At the moment a new System called EDS is in development to do exactly this! Coming soon...
Some people didn't like the SilentLogs the last time so we pick only a few people out of the SilentLogs with people who used the Public Cheat which could be interesting to our community members. Please note that some Clans already kicked these cheaters - so don't go flaming on the websites.

You are now forced to update to the ESEOpenGL / ESED3D to V. 1.3.0.0 renderers only if you used them before.
If you use the 'normal' OpenGL / D3D drivers, you can continue to still use them without problems.

- added some new things to block reverse enginering a little bit better (its possible that you need to add the ESERender Files to the exceptionslist from your antivirus scanner like the ESE.dll)

- added a "Statistic" button at the bottom of the 'Server' tab where you can see how many people played on ESE servers on certain days/weeks/months in the past
- fixed a crash while logging in
- fixed a crash while updateing ESE files
- added under the 'Update' tab a button to update the ESERenderers
- added under the 'Update' tab a button to configure the ESERenderers (ESEOpenGL or ESED3D) (Frameratelimit, V-Sync, Renderer-selection).

Note - there was nearly zero response to the last request to translate the languagefiles
