This Christmas we come bearing Media Gifts! We've all been really hard at work coming up to the end of the year and Tactical Assault is really shaping up - every day we're getting closer to a great game. Most of the team will be taking a little time off over the Christmas period but when we return we'll be getting closer to showing you character animations, new and fully original maps and (very soon) some in-game footage. We've got even more of our weapons list in our build and today we'll be showing you the AK47; a perennial favourite of ours (and yours, we're sure).
| You just can't do without an AK47... It wouldn't be fair. Also know as the Avtomat Kalashnikova, this gun is a selective fire, gas operated 7.62mm assault rifle, first developed in the 1940s. The AK47 has truly become an iconic piece of weaponry and is the most popular assault rifle of it's time. And besides, it looks pretty badass too - that's why we like it. |
| Our resident animator MrFred has also been busy at work rigging our great character meshes! Just one of the things that are really taking us closer to the finished product. Disclaimer: this viewport screengrab is not indicative of what the final character will look like in game. It will look much spiffier and is merely a tool to show you, our faithful community, that we've got characters rigged. Also, the Christmas cheer is just Photoshop work. I know, it looks very convincing. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
We'll be showing you how this guy moves very soon so stay tuned

We hope you all have an awesome Christmas and New Year (or Hannukah if that's your thing) and Santa brings you lots of goodies. We'll be dishing out lots more presents for you in the new year when our team gets back into the swing of things so keep in touch with us - we like when you do that.
We're always looking for new, talented people to join our ranks. If you think you have what it takes to help us in the glorious task of getting our first release to the public then we want to hear from you. Go to
www.tactical-assault.com/apply to apply!
Remember, you can always visit us on
where we post all of our media and news as well as Twitter where we let you know what we're up to! We'd also love if you could swing by our Moddb page to vote for us in the MOTY competition. It would be awesome to get up there in the rankings for "Upcoming Indie Game of the Year"!
Have a safe and happy holidays!,
Your very festive TA Team
